These birds disappear instantly amongst the leaves. I only saw this finch (and its mate) once the entire month I was in Costa Rica. Very grateful for the sighting.
One of the nice things in the rain forest is you can look for fruiting trees and then just quietly hide there (assuming the bugs don't find you first). And voila! Chlorophonia appear.
